Welcome

Hello, Classes! I hope you are all working hard, as you always do, and perhaps trying out some tests. Since we are now in January, remember that you have been given a new bunch of attempts for each test. I have been happy to hear that many people are passing tests, which will give you the confidence needed to continue on to your ultimate goal! To those of you have yet to try a test, there is no rush; if you are hesitant or simply wish to build up your skills before your first attempt, this is absolutely fine. There is no right or wrong way, but remember that whichever road you choose, keep reading, writing, and practicing so that when you are ready, you can enjoy some success. Not everyone passes right away, and it truly does not matter if it takes you one or ten tries to achieve a passing score. Each time you take a test, it is a new form of practice for you, and you will constantly be gathering the most effective ways to navigate your way to a successful future! Good Luck!! You can do it!!

Note: The following quotation on the blackboard below is from F. Scott Fitzgerald. I hope you enjoy it!

The About page describes the skills you can expect to find on this website.

The Blackboard Skills page includes a spotlight on a particular skill, such as a topic in grammar, as well as an overview of a variety of subjects. Use this page as a review!

The Lessons page provides our actual classwork and contains exercises for each topic, including new skills to learn and previous skills to review. There are even blackboard activities and an introductory to a new Root of the Week, just as you would see in the classroom each and every day of the year! All sections are numbered, so you may need to scroll down to find Skills Page One, where you should begin.

The Resources page presents links to websites and other materials and resources to help you learn and practice new skills. Assignments for work on different websites will also be found on this page.

The Writing page lists assignments, writing prompts, essays, and many other ways for you to put
your  ideas on paper. You will be able to fill out a form that will email your assignments directly to me!
I can then send you feedback on your written work.

The Homework Assignments page contains homework, classwork, web and pdf links, and extension activities you can use to practice all your skills.
