Hello! Since we are getting closer to Thanksgiving, you will notice that we have been concentrating heavily on our persuasive essays! I will continue to conference with students to oversee the writing process...but after that, we will move on to self-editing and peer editing. I am anxious for you all to have a solid essay before Thanksgiving, and I am hoping that each of you is working hard on this in place of the monthly writing prompts you completed in September and October!! We will review the process again, and you will receive your editing checklist in class (RW3 PM Class already received theirs). You will also receive some of your recent work, which may have some corrections or suggestions to help you in your future writing assignments! I hope to return all of them before the holiday! Next week, we will have class on Monday, November 20 for the evening class, and Tuesday, November 21 for our morning group! Thanksgiving is on Thursday, and Friday is a day off as part of this holiday. So please enjoy your turkey as well as what will be one week off (since I won't see you until the following week!)!
